Fused Switches (IKD)

The fuse switches manufactured by Isfahan Kelid Co. are designed for use in all weather conditions and are made in accordance with the international standards VDE 0660 and IEC 60947. These switches are produced in nominal currents of 160, 250, 400, and 630 amps.

General information

  • Input and output platinum are of the electrolytic copper type with silver coating to increase the electrical conductivity of copper.
  • The use of metal parts with galvanized coating increases the resistance of parts to corrosion and prevents them from oxidizing.
  • These switches cannot generally be disconnected under load, but due to the existence of high-quality igniters, there is a possibility for disconnection or connection under load, of course, taking into account all safety conditions.
  • The switch body is made of two types of insulating materials, i.e., Bakelite and Fiber Polymer (BMC Bulk Molding Compound). Among the important insulating properties of fibrous polymer materials is high resistance to flame, self-extinguishing ability, no deformation against high heat, high resistance to friction, impact and creep current.
  • The only difference between the fused switches (model: IKDB) and the fused switches (model: IKD) is in the switch body insulation materials. In IKD model, fibrous polymer materials form the switch body, while bakelite insulation materials form the fuse body of IKDB model.
