Introduction of fused rotary switches (IKCF 01, IKCF 02):
- These switches are designed to be used in all weather conditions and are made in accordance with the international standards VDE 0660 and IEC 60947.
- IKCF 01 and IKCF 02 fused rotary switches are used to disconnect and connect ohmic, inductive, and capacitive loads such as transformers, AC electric motors, and capacitors.
- Ordinary rotary fuses are disconnected under load and are produced in nominal currents of 160, 250, 400, and 630 amps, produced in two types, i.e., simple category (IKCF 01) and interlock category (IKCF 02).
General information
- It is made of triple poles for disconnecting or connecting three phases.
- Due to the high speed of operation in disconnection or connection, the function of the switch is independent of the operator’s hand mode.
- By using two very strong springs while accelerating the disconnection or connection mechanism, it will prevent sparks between the contacts due to the very high speed of operation.
- The insulation material of the switch body is made of fibrous polymer material (BMC Bulk Molding Compound) which is resistant to fire, spark, pressure, friction, and finally to the formation of creep current.
- The switch contacts are made of very pure copper, and the silver coating on these contacts reduces the ohmic resistance, increases the electrical conductivity of the contact, and ultimately accelerates the passage of electric current.

- According to the design, the circuit must be disconnected before replacing the fuses.
- The ON or OFF indicator shows the status of the switch when connected or disconnected.
- The IKCF 02 model switch is locked in the ON position, allowing the switchboard door to be opened only in the OFF position.
- In the IKCF 02 model key, operator safety is provided by installing three pendant locks that can not be connected or disconnected by irresponsible people.
